RACE NOTES: JOHN HUNTER NEMECHEK UNOH 175
New Hampshire Motor Speedway - September 20, 2014

- John Hunter Nemechek comes into the UNOH 175 weekend at New Hampshire with a reputation for making the most in track debuts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2014. In seven starts this season he has fared best at tracks where he had never before raced a lap.  His three sixth-place finishes at Dover, Eldora and Bristol and 53 laps led en route to a top-15 at Gateway pave the way for a promising run on the suitable flat one-mile oval at NHMS.

- Nemechek is sharing the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule with his father, Joe Nemechek-a first in NASCAR's three premier series. At 17, John Hunter is restricted to running the 10 events on road courses and tracks 1.25 miles or less. Joe is taking on the balance of the schedule to round out the season. After 13 events, the duo sits sixth in the owner's standings, 12 points out of fifth and 32 back from the lead.

- As the season has progressed, Joe and John Hunter have adopted a "friendly family challenge" in comparing finishes and, after John Hunter's impressive performance at Gateway, laps led as well. Joe still holds the top spot for finishes with a third at Texas Motor Speedway, but John Hunter is knocking on the door with three sixth-place runs to his credit including last week's successful run at Bristol. John Hunter gets the nod with laps led, however, boasting 53 to Dad's four.

- On deck for SWM-NEMCO is Joe Nemechek who will take the wheel of the No. 8 Tundra at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 27. Nemechek, who will celebrate a birthday on September 26, has two top 10's to his credit in Sprint Cup Series action as well as one win, five top-five and seven top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at LVMS.

JOHN HUNTER NEMECHEK QUOTES:

"New Hampshire has long straightaways and tight, flat corners which really suits my driving style. You have to get your truck to turn and keep it turning throughout the race - if we can do that we should be good. It looks like it's a fun track and as a team we've performed well on tracks like New Hampshire so we definitely have high hopes going in. Hopefully we can see it through to the end and get our first win for Sid and Dawna (Mauldin, co-owners of SWM-NEMCO Motorsports) and all those who work so hard on this deal every week.
